What Is CBD and How Is It Used To Treat Medical Conditions?

One of the hottest trends in the medical marijuana industry is Cannabidiol or CBD. But what is this mysterious substance and why is it so popular? Today, we are going to learn more about Cannabidiol and the how it can be used. We will also cover CBD vape oil, CBD vape juice, and CBD e juice. You will find out that these terms are often interchangeable and used to describe the same Cannabidiol products. Plus, we will learn the benefits of these products and how they are commonly used.

What Is Cannabidiol?

Cannabidiol is a compound that is formulated directly from cannabis. In particular, this compound is extracted solely from the male cannabis plant known as hemp. Hemp has lower THC levels making it perfect for medical use. This amazing cannabis compound has many health-related benefits that are changing people’s lives for the better. Unlike traditional medical marijuana, users of CBD products such as CBD vape oil and CBD vape juice won’t get the stoned feeling. CBD is a cannabis rich compound that contains non-psychoactive ingredients that have medical benefits. For those looking for alternative treatment options, cannabidiol is often the answer.

CBD Vape Oil Has Many Healthy Benefits

If you are looking to get high CBD is not for you. On the other hand, if you are looking to relieve conditions such as chronic pain, depression, PTSD, MS, and arthritis, then Cannabidiol can really help! There is even a research being conducted to prove Cannabidiol has anti-cancer benefits. This is very exciting news and hopefully, in the future, CBD can be used to save lives. Many people choose to use CBD vape oil as a replacement for traditional medications because this oil doesn’t have harmful side-effects. Being able to treat ailments without having to suffer from side-effects has improved the quality of life for many people. Now that you know what CBD is and what it is used for, let’s learn more about how it is delivered.

The Difference Between CBD Vape Oil and Traditional Cannabidiol Oil

In the beginning, Cannabidiol oil was used in the form of an oral tincture. While these products still exist, they are now less common than CBD vape oil. Hemp oil tincture is often mistaken for CBD vape oil and people soon find out that it doesn’t work for this purpose. One popular way that Cannabidiol is used is with an infusion of CBD vape oil. This oil can be inhaled by users which gets into the bloodstream via the blood vessels located in the lungs. CBD vape oil is manufactured to be specifically used with a vaping device. This oil can be used in a wide range of different vaping devices. So no matter what vaping device you have, it can be used with this amazing oil.

Not All E Liquids Contain CBD

There are many different types of E liquids on the market today. But not all of them contain CBD. This can be very confusing for those just starting out with CBD vaping. To avoid buying e liquids that do not contain CBD, make sure that you read the ingredients first. This will allow you to get the product you want without wasting your money. So always look for products that are labeled either CBD vape juice, CBD E juice or CBD e liquid. These products are specially designed for those looking for the medical benefits of cannabidiol. For those who are beginners, CBD vapor purchasing pre-mixed CBD vape juice is the easiest option and the most popular. These e juices are easy to use and there is no mixing involved. On the other hand, if you are an experienced vaper, you may want to try mixing your own juice. By blending CBD vapor oil with different E juices, you can come up with your own personal blend. As you will learn below, by mixing your own E juice, you can pick and choose the flavors.

CBD Vape Oil Can Be Mixed

If you are currently someone who vapes non-CBD juices and you want to try CBD vape oil, there is a way to blend the two. Many E liquids can be used as a base and CBD vape oil can be mixed in. This will allow you to enjoy the flavors you love while still getting the medical benefits of CBD vape oil. Many people are doing this and by mixing your own, you will have more control of what goes into your vape juice. If you don’t feel like mixing your own, there are a wide variety of CBD vape juices on the market, and they come in different flavors. The sky really is the limit on the different types of CBD juices that you can choose from!

Is CBD Vape Oil Legal in the US?

Many people wonder if CBD vape oils and CBD capsules are legal in the US. While this can be tricky to understand, the answer is yes. Most CBD vape oil products are made from the Hemp plant which we learned above is the male cannabis plant. Because the THC levels in hemp is so low, the government allows these products to be produced. As long as THC levels are less than 0.3%, these products can legally be used and produced inside the United States. So you will not have to worry about getting into trouble while using these CBD products.

As you can see, there are many health benefits of CBD vape oil and CBD vape juice. If you suffer from chronic pain, depression, MS, or another medical issue, these CBD products can really help. The best part is they don’t have the harmful side effects that often come with prescription drugs. This is why so many people have chosen to use CBD vape oil to treat their conditions. You have learned above that not all E liquids contain CBD, but it can be added by mixing in CBD vape oil. Additionally, you have learned that CBD hemp oil is not designed for vaping and is used orally instead of being inhaled.

Why THC Gummies Could be Your New Favorite Marijuana Product

There are a number of top weed gummy bear brands out there nowadays which take great care in producing stunning THC products to bring you marijuana experiences like you have never had before. Because THC is psychoactive, you have to take care in getting the right dosage, and regulated, carefully made THC edibles offer you much more control with that than you could get from just smoking weed.

There are many different types of weed gummies out there. You have the traditional gummy bear, but plenty more of your favorite sweets which have been infused with cannabis. Indeed, there are all sorts of cannabis edibles out there now, but we’re going to focus on the THC gummy bears and jellies in this article.

So what are THC gummies great at treating? A number of illnesses and disorders, ranging from chronic physical pains and inflammations, to mental ailments such as insomnia, depression and anxiety. Each disorder or complaint will require its own specific dosage, and your bodily features will also alter the amount you need to get relief, so you’ll most likely find yourself experimenting a lot early on.

The Best Weed Gummy Bears will be Lab-Tested
You always want to make sure that you’re only taking the highest-grade products, which is why you should only go for marijuana gummy bears that have been laboratory tested, and are accompanied with the correct documentation to prove it. Preparing THC so that is ready to be infused into gummy bears and other edibles is a complicated and dangerous process, so be sure to only go for well-known brands, even if you have to pay a little extra. With THC being psychoactive, it’s better to put safety first.

Maintaining that Awesome Candy Taste
The best THC brands will take what is known as a ‘proprietary approach’ when infusing the THC into gummy bears. Providing the process is carried out properly, all THC edibles should be able to be successfully infused with consistent results. A few brands are notorious for having an earthy, cannabis taste which isn’t really what you want in an edible. Mediocre and excellent marijuana gummies are separated by taste, with the top candies tasting just like a regular candy.

Precise THC Dosages Enhance Your Experience
One reason smoking marijuana is popular is that you know just how your body is reacting and you can quickly take more in small doses until you get it just right. Unfortunately, edibles don’t offer the same flexibility, but companies have been working hard to give you as much information as possible so that you always get the right THC dosage. Most of the THC edibles that you have will be concentrated THC, which has been carefully extracted from the cannabis sativa plant so that the dosages are more precise.

The way that the THC is heated during the process of making the gummies ensures that all contaminants and toxins which may have got into the cannabis as it was growing are stripped, ensuring that you get to eat as healthy and pure marijuana gummy bears as possible.

Why People are Turning to Marijuana Gummies
Marijuana gummies are exploding in popularity thanks to their similarity to our favorite candies from years gone by, and because they’re mightily effective, potent and work consistently. Marijuana smoking, as appreciated as it is, is not always great if you’re looking for medical benefits because some strains and flowers are better than others – there may be more THC stuck to some buds, for example. Hence, it’s hard to rely on it to give you the results you’re looking for every time.

But with weed gummy bears and specially made edibles, the entire focus is on the dosage, so you always know how much you’re taking, and how long on average it will take to feel the effects.

Moreover, weed gummies are a lot more versatile than the marijuana plant itself because they don’t smell. You can’t be taking weed around with you – even in a legalized state! – because you’ll stink and get on other people’s nerves. But with marijuana gummies, you can keep them with you at all times and take one whenever you feel like it, with nobody else needing to know. Isn’t that great? Even better, because the dosage is so concentrated, you’ll be able to get massive hits of THC in one go, rather than having to keep smoking.

What Sort of Gummies Can you Purchase?
Weed gummy bears can come in many different flavors, but a lot of companies opt for strong sweet and sour flavorings to help cover up the marijuana taste. A good edible will taste just like candy and work for hours. The slow release is perfect if you have mental disorders or trouble sleeping, as you’ll have a steady experience rather than an up and down one.

Beyond gummy bears, you can find raspberry jellies, glow worms and even those tangy cherries. Your chosen THC product may specify what complaints it treats best, so be sure to check that out before parting with your cash.

Some Last Advice
It feels important to offer a little advice about the consumption of marijuana gummy bears, because THC edibles can be a little trickier to get right than CBD edibles due to the psychoactive properties in the cannabinoid. This is why we recommend that you start off with a 10mg dosage, waiting a good 45 minutes after your first to see how your body feels. Once you get to know how 10mg feels, you can happily take another, and so on until you’re satisfied.

If you ever have any doubts about THC gummy bears and you live in a legalized state, then make sure that you have a word with your doctor who can help get you on the right track. If you’re taking other medication, then THC could interact in unforeseen ways, so use your intuition to help make the right decision.

Now, go and enjoy your weed gummies!

Nate Diaz produces a clean drugs test, but UFC left unsatisfied

The UFC may still yet sanction star fighter Nate Diaz, even though a drugs test following his UFC 202 bout showed him clean of marijuana.

Despite passing the drug test he was required to take on the night of the fight, the USADA has yet to determine whether Diaz’s use of cannabidiol (CBD) oil was legal. Diaz was seen with his CBD vape pen in the press conference following the fight, and was questioned about his usage of it by reporters at the time.

Diaz was aware at the time that his usage of CBD could land him into water, admitting it to reporters, even though he was perfectly aware he wouldn’t fail the drug test.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) states that cannabinoids cannot be used by competitors in the six hours before and after a fight. The press conference was conducted within six hours of the completion of the fight.  There are more than 100 cannabinoids found in cannabis, but CBD and THC are the most prominent ones.

Diaz explained to reporters what CBD does and indicated that he used it for “the healing process and inflammation”. He was speaking following his defeat to Irish fighter Conor McGregor.

The situation is currently under review, and the USADA are aware of what has gone on, but have yet to formulate a conclusive decision on what action they should take next.

While Diaz may have issues with the USADA, the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) is not going to seek disciplinary action, since they declare that the window where cannabinoids are prohibited is ended as soon as the drugs test has been undertook. This is according to the NAC’s executive director Bob Bennett.

All of the fighters competing in UFC 202 were tested after their respective fights, with all of the results coming back negative. Anthony Johnson defeated Glover Teixeira in the other marquee match-up of the night.

The UFC classifies marijuana as a “specified substance”. While it’s not considered a performance-enhancing drug, there are still restrictions placed on it at various points – i.e. the six-hour window aforementioned. The maximum punishment for violating the rules is a one-year suspension by the USADA.

CBD is noted for its vast medical properties and a worthwhile alternative to normal marijuana. This is because the CBD is isolated from other cannabinoids – such as THC, which is psychoactive – and CBD products have been designed for medical purposes only.

Study indicates that CBD could be effective treatment for breast and prostate cancer

Breast and prostate cancer patients may have new hope, with a study in the Expert Opinion on Investigational Drugs journal suggesting that cannabinoids from marijuana can help treat the illnesses. The research was initially published online, but is also due to go to print in the U.S. National Institute of Health journal.

The in-depth study has yielded plenty of promising results, with its abstract indicating that phytocannabinoids have a number of chemotherapeutic effects. Endocannabinoids (those already in the body) and synthetic cannabinoids which have been specially formulated have also shown signs of effectiveness against breast and prostate cancer.

The research found that it was the CBD cannabinoid (cannabidiol) that was the best in stifling cancer – good news as it’s a non-psychoactive cannabinoid. CBD has been deemed effective as it has antitumor properties, including inhibiting activity in the IB-1 gene. Moreover, they can work alongside antitumor drugs a patient may already be taking.

However, the study made it clear that while the research was encouraging, it was far from conclusive and that there was still much progress needed to fully understand how CBD could most efficiently be used to tackle the said illnesses.

Should I take painkillers or CBD?

Chronic pain and similar ailments are epidemics which have swept across the country. It’s estimated that 100 million Americans experience chronic pain with that number only rising. While acute pain is simple to treat as it is more localized, chronic pain can be much more of a challenge.

The old-school method has been to prescribe painkillers to deal with it, although these are nowhere near as wonderful as they seem. In addition to providing just short-term relief, these can be highly addictive and come with horrible side effects – hence why CBD is being promoted as an alternative.

CBD is putting medical marijuana on the map, as, unlike the plant itself, this derivative is free from any psychoactive effects which have historically put people off and created notoriety around the plant. But the truth is that CBD is much less aggressive than some of these over-the-counter painkillers, and will deliver long-term results. Instead of just suppressing pain, CBD helps to eliminate it entirely.

Here are a few reasons why CBD is popular and a superb alternative to painkillers:

CBD is a muscle relaxant: one of the best ways to reduce chronic pain is to relax your muscles, although exercise and yoga isn’t appealing or even possible for everybody. Furthermore, the chronic pain can sometimes bite the worst during those activities. However, CBD has properties infused which can help to relax muscles, leaving you feeling freer. And once you’ve got a form of medication that can relax your muscles, you’ll be fresher and more up to the exercise you want to do to suppress that pain even further.

CBD is an anti-inflammatory: many diseases are brought on due to inflammation, explaining why CBD is a versatile treatment. Tuberculosis, arthritis and asthma are all diseases which can damage the body’s tissues, and it’s been shown that typical painkillers are not good for your liver or kidneys if used too regularly. CBD, on the other hand, comes with none of these side effects, and will help you to become more restful and calm.

Improves sleep patterns: Speaking of calmness, CBD can help bring you the calmness required to immeasurable improve your sleeping pattern. To get the most out of CBD for this, then you’ll need a slow-release option like an edible, which will steadily release the CBD throughout the night. Indeed, research indicates that you’re better off with lower concentrates of CBD when tackling insomnia, rather than the bigger hits you’d get through vaping.

Tackles depression:
There’s still a massive stigma surrounding mental health, with a lot of medication not being effective as it should – and at least not for very long, and not without side effects. In fact, it can be the fear of physical, chronic pain that can induce mental pains. Studies have proven that around 60 percent of those who have a form of depression experience chronic pain. But a vast amount of anecdotal evidence has pointed at CBD being the solution to these problems. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or a combination of all three, you may find CBD to be the appropriate one-size-fits-all medication.

Top tips for setting up a CBD business

More and more people are catching onto the wonders of industrial hemp. While marijuana still has a stigma attached, the news that the plant has many medical properties and comes in various forms is filtering through. With companies picking up on the lucrative opportunities, the industry is booming, to the delight of consumers.

Getting into the CBD industry isn’t quite as easy as it looks though, and there are a few important things that you’ll need to take into account – such as research, meeting legal requirements and general business basics.

Here’s what you need to know about the CBD world.

Understanding CBD products

If you’re about to make your mark on the CBD industry then hopefully you have good knowledge about the huge range of products available. You’ll need to know what areas you want to go into and understand the advantages and disadvantages of each type of product before you take the plunge.

When it comes to selecting the best brands to stock then you’ll want to do your research, as there are plenty of inferior companies selling unregulated products that simply aren’t up to standard. For example, some CBD products will only utilize certain parts of the plant, such as the stem which is nowhere near as rich in CBD. If a company refuses to divulge information on the extraction and the formulation, then be wary.

We know you’re probably just itching to get going, but this legwork beforehand is vital if you want to have a successful range of CBD products that you’ll be proud to stock, and that your customers know they can trust.

Work out who you’re targeting with your products
You need to swot up on CBD products so that when customers come in, you’ll be able to help find them the best one that suits their requirements. If big doses and quick hits are in demand, then you could recommend vaping. However, if the customer wants a slower and steadier release, then they may be better off with an edible, a topical or a balm. If you can become reputable and well informed, then you’re likely to get good word of mouth coverage.

Jumping through hoops

With the CBD world not being regulated by the FDA, the chances are there will be a lot of admin to do. The most important thing to remember is that you shouldn’t be making specific claims about your products. Customers will know what they do anyway, and you could get yourself into a legal quagmire.

There are many questions surrounding CBD as a form of medication, but since you aren’t a doctor, you cannot go prescribing products to your patients. Therefore, feel free to explain the benefits to your customers, but don’t treat it as a medical transaction, or a “prescription” per se.

The vision we want to promote
We believe in CBD and natural alternatives to some of the obnoxious over-the-counter forms of medications that are in the mainstream. We pride ourselves on showcasing safe CBD products that work and bring our customers the side effect-free relief they’re seeking.

How to make CBD chocolate

CBD edibles are supposed to be fun and there are now so many options available, from brownies, to lollipops to gummies. In this post, we’re going to keep it simple and look at CBD chocolate. With these you can get your sweet treats and medication in one hit!

CBD chocolate is handy as it can either be enjoyed soon after you make it, or frozen down and stored for a later date – hence, you can make up one big batch, and have it last for weeks or even months. To make CBD chocolate, you will first off have to infuse a CBD-dominant cannabis strain such as industrial hemp into butter. This will activate the CBD, and then the butter can be used to make chocolate as you normally would.

Making cannabutter
Mix in one cup of water into a pound of unsalted butter and slow cook. Then grind up one ounce hemp and add it to the mix – an ounce will make potent cannabutter, although you can always strengthen or weaken it by adding hemp or taking it away. Slow cook the butter and hemp for around eight hours (or longer if you wish – the longer you do leave it, the more the cannabinoids will be infused into the butter).

Strain out the hemp using cheesecloth, and then squeeze the hemp to get every last bit out. Decant the CBD-infused butter into a container and place it into a refrigerator, until it has hardened. This process will also see the butter separate from the water, allowing you to lift the butter out once it’s hardened. Then you’ll have your cannabutter and be ready to make CBD chocolate.

Making the chocolate
Fill a pot with water and bring it to the boil. Mix together cocoa powder and your cannabutter until it mashes into a paste. Keep mashing it up until all of the lumps have gone. Then add the paste into the boiled water and stir it.

After it has been fully stirred, pour the mixture into a bowl, sift in sugar and then stir that into the mixture as well. It may be quite lumpy, so add milk to help make the texture smoother.

Decide whether you want to make the chocolate as one big bar or as smaller pieces and choose the appropriate mold. Place the chocolate into the mold and then put in the fridge so it can harden overnight. Your CBD chocolate will then be all ready to enjoy!

How to make CBD honey

Honey is gaining a reputation for being a superfood, with Manuka honey attracting special attention. However, honey can be made even more powerful by infusing it with CBD (cannabidiol). This edible is awesome as you can either take it directly or mix it into your favorite beverages. Some choose to take their CBD honey just before bed, but this slow-release edible can be consumed at any time of day.
Before you start making CBD honey, you need to choose a CBD-dominant strain of cannabis, ideally industrial hemp, as these will contain only traces of THC, and not get you “high”.

The recipe
Once you have your CBD-dominant strain, wrap it in cheesecloth and tie off the ends so none gets out. Then place the cheesecloth into a slow cooker and drape over the honey. For every ounce of hemp that you use, add five pounds of honey.
Heat the honey slowly and stir once every 30 minutes or so. After five hours, turn off the cooker and allow it to cool for a day. You can then decant the honey into airtight jars where it will be good for around six months.

Why use CBD honey?
With there being so many forms of CBD medication, why should you choose honey? As well as honey being full of wonderful properties anyway, there are other reasons why you may wish to get your CBD this way.

The slow release is good for those who find themselves in constant pain or distress. Instead of getting a quick fix, CBD honey will take effect slowly and last for several hours.
Furthermore, if you enjoy drinking teas, then CBD honey is a nice addition that allows you to get all of your medication in one efficient beverage.

How to make CBD gummies

CBD gummies are a new favorite way for medical marijuana patients to treat themselves thanks to their simplicity. These candies come in a plethora of flavors, taste great and bring as much relief as any CBD or medical marijuana product can. Here’s how to go about making them yourself.

CBD gummies are much easier to make than, say, CBD brownies, as you don’t have the lengthy process of infusing CBD into butter. You simply add CBD tincture to the gummy mixture while you’re making it.

You can use many fruits, but for this example we will use strawberries. Start off by blending them into a puree, enough to fill 2/3 of a cup.

Add the pureed strawberries along with a 1/3 cup of water, two tablespoons of honey and one tablespoon of lemon juice into a saucepan and begin to simmer the mixture on a low to medium heat. After a couple of minutes, take a couple of teaspoons of your CBD tincture, add it to the mix and then fully stir it in.

You’ll need a substance to help solidify the gummies, so stir in three tablespoons of gelatin, preferably grass fed. The mixture may be a little lumpy, so ensure that you keep whisking until it is fully smooth. Then take a silicon mold and carefully pour in the CBD-infused gummy mix before placing them in the fridge or freezer to cool off.

Final thoughts
The only advice worth imparting concerning CBD gummies is that which is applicable to CBD and marijuana edibles in general. Edibles are much slower in taking effect than vaping or smoking is, so don’t fret if your usual dosage is slow to have an impact. You can always consume more later on if need be, but the chances are you won’t need to!

How to make CBD brownies

Making CBD brownies is a very similar process to making traditional pot brownies, although instead of a typical cannabis strain, you have to use a strain which is very CBD dominant. Unlike pot brownies, CBD brownies won’t get you “high”, but they will bring you the pain relief that’s associated with medical marijuana.

Making cannabutter
To make CBD brownies, you must first infuse the CBD-rich strain into a butter or ghee – this will then activate the properties in the cannabis (the CBD), allowing you to cook the brownies as you normally would.

Start off by cutting up the butter and mixing it in with water and your CBD-rich strain such as hemp. Place the mixture into a pan and allow it to simmer but not boil for three to four hours. Stir every half an hour, and watch to make sure that the mixture becomes thicker as the water evaporates. The strain itself should always be floating and never “cooking” on the bottom of the pan so keep an eye on this.

After a few hours, the mixture will have become hardened due to the absence of water. At this point, let the mixture cool and prepare a colander which you can decant into. Line the colander with cheesecloth before pouring in your CBD-infused butter. Most of the butter will drain out naturally but to prevent wastage, squeeze out the rest before throwing away your CBD-rich strain, which is no longer needed.

Put the butter in the fridge until it has completely solidified, at which point you can focus on removing any excess water. Carefully detach the butter from the bowl using a sharp knife before removing a small piece, just large enough so that you can get your spatula in under to ease out the butter.

Pat the cannabutter dry if it’s wet before sealing it in an airtight container and putting it in the fridge. The cannabutter should appear slightly green, and it will be best to use when fresh. However, it should be good for a couple of weeks providing it has been made correctly.

If you don’t want to infuse the CBD-rich cannabis into the butter yourself, then you could always purchase some cannabutter ready-made instead – although if you are doing this, remember to check the contents of the butter beforehand as you don’t want to end up with THC in your CBD brownies.

Once you’ve got your cannabutter – either made yourself or shop bought – you can go ahead and make your CBD brownies using your favorite recipe!

Advice with CBD brownies
As the effects of pot brownies and CBD brownies take a good 45 minutes or longer to kick in, the temptation is always to take more. While you cannot overdose on CBD, the effects will plateau at a certain point, rendering the additional CBD ineffective. Therefore, it’s best to be patient and wait, especially if it’s your first time taking the brownies, as this will help you gauge what sort of dosage you need.
